Improv-based coaching for leaders and teams
The moment that matters most is the one you can’t script.
The unexpected question.
The tension no one names.
The plan falling short.
The yes that isn’t one.
Studio Mirari uses improv to train leaders and their teams to meet the moment instead of managing it.
Do you recognise this?
The high stakes moment
A pitch. A presentation. The room where it counts. You prepared — but the moment it goes live, half your bandwidth goes to managing your nerves, and the sharp version of yourself is nowhere to be found. The answer you wish you’d given, comes to you in the car afterwards.
Presence is the part preparation can't give you — and it can be trained.
You feel it in the room: the issue everyone's tiptoeing around or the feedback that never lands. You hold back, because what if you say it wrong, what if you can't handle the reaction? So it stays unsaid, and the real conversation never happens.
The thing no one will say
Brave conversations start with knowing you can recover from any wrong sentence.
The strategy that needs to pivot. The roadmap the quarter outran. The meeting you intended that went somewhere else in the first five minutes. But letting go of the plan feels like losing control — so you push the old one harder instead of meeting the room that's actually in front of you.
The plan that no longer holds
Pushing harder isn’t a better plan. Adapting live is.
Everyone shares. Everyone nods. And everyone walks out with exactly the idea they walked in with. Nothing was truly heard, nothing moved — and the whole process slowed down instead of speeding up. These are your most expensive hours, and they change nothing.
The meeting without results
Real progress means people are changed by what’s said.
The Mirari Method.
Move from the safety of the script to the freedom of the moment.
The old playbook was simple: master the plan, perform, win.
But now the plan is obsolete before it is in place, and everyone, if they are honest, is trying to keep up. That’s because the world of today needs another method.
The improviser doesn't push harder under pressure, they respond to what's actually in the room. They don’t force the answers, they just listen more carefully. They don’t need time off to think of the next move, they build upon what’s already there. That capacity to adapt, listen and create in real time is learnable, and it's the work we do.
Try it out. Take it in. Be changed.
We don’t teach you one single competence but we build the capacity to meet the moment as it actually is.
We do this through three movements:
Try it out. You do the thing before you've figured it out — low stakes, real pressure — and feel yourself respond in a way you wouldn't have a second earlier.
Take it in. You catch what just happened, and see what was invisible a moment before.
Be changed. You let it land — accept the offer, don't resist it. That's where it sticks: off-script, integrated, yours.
Three movements that overlap, loop, and repeat inside a single session. Together they build the one thing no plan can hand you: the capacity to respond in the moment.
For the team, for you or for the room.
Workshops
Improv puts people in motion and has the real dynamics surface: how you communicate, where trust holds or drops, what happens under pressure. You also see yourself differently — in how others respond to you, and what you notice in them. We work with all of it live, and we point at the dynamic, never at the person. The room becomes exactly what the people need from it.
One-to-one
Here we dive into the grip, the identity, the way you show up when it counts most. We use the play of improv to get you out of overthinking and into doing — and in do-mode, your stuck patterns surface on their own. That evidence, from your own experience, is the fertile ground to steer toward who you came here to become.
Live experiences
Moving a whole room — not entertaining it, moving it — is where I'm most at home. An idea that sparks the mind, an exercise that shifts the body, and people leave seeing themselves a little differently. And once you've seen outside the box, you can't unsee it.
Meet the moment
instead of managing it.
At Studio Mirari, we move beyond understanding. Clarity is where we start, but it's not the new normal. Here we use improvisation to rehearse your agency. We repeat the movements, the words, and the presence until your nervous system realises it is safe to steer your own course.

Who’s behind this?
I'm Joran Lavers. I spent a decade inside high-growth companies learning to perform under pressure. In the meantime, I learned a different but very complementary approach from improvisational theatre: that the best moments are the ones nobody planned. Studio Mirari is where those two worlds meet.
